Road Rides
“Century of Scenery. Century of Spirit.”
This year’s Tour de Outback celebrates the full Oregon Outback Scenic Bikeway century—all 100 miles. Starting at the Lakeview Fairgrounds, home to registration, camping, and Friday’s pre‑party, riders enjoy a gentle warm‑up through town, past the new skate park, and onto the Bikeway.

Medium Route
Long Route
The route climbs to Warner Canyon Ski Area before rolling through the ranching towns of Plush and Adel. Along the way, riders experience pine forests, high desert meadows, lakes, streams, and the sagebrush ascent back to town, highlighted by Deep Creek Falls—all on roads with remarkably little traffic.
Not ready to tackle the full century? No problem. Choose from 41 or 53 miles and still get a route that delivers big scenery and rewarding terrain.
The 41-mile route rolls downhill past the ski hill to our main aid station, then turns you back toward the Fairgrounds with smooth, fast riding and wide-open views.
Want a little more adventure? The 53-mile route adds a climb up to Bulls Prairie, where sweeping wildflower meadows stretch out in every direction. From there, it is a long, nearly continuous descent back to the Fairgrounds. Almost.
This route also features a stunning section of the Oregon Outback Scenic Bikeway, making it a favorite for riders who want iconic views without committing to the full distance.
Aid Stations along the routes will be manned by our benefactor Lake County Search & Rescue units.
Each participant must wear a helmet that meets CPSC requirements.
"I've never ridden a more welcoming and friendly bike event. The route, scenery, support, food - everything is top tier!"
